Meet Our Expert team
CME is company whose shareholders own companies that are long standing successful Northern Territory businesses. Together we utilise our respective management expertise, assets, and considerable resources to provide our clients a greater and more seamless capability to deliver quality project and maintenance services.
Shaun Hill
Chairman
Born in Darwin, Shaun grew up both as a local boy in Darwin and on the Melville Island – Tiwi Islands, Pirlangimpi Community. In 2005, Shaun joined the Northern Territory Police Force and spent the next 10 years as Constable Hill working within General Duties, City Safe Unit and as an Indigenous Community Police Officer both within Metropolitan and across serval communities in the Northern Territory.
Wanting a change of pace, Shaun looked to the trades and took on roles in the electrical and mechanical fields for the INPEX Onshore Gas Project and later within Victoria (Construction), then on to the resource sector (WA and NT) all the while learning and maintaining a focus on operations, maintenance, and management of critical assets and infrastructure across a diverse range of industries.
In 2022 Shaun saw a great opportunity to work alongside highly successful local business owners to fill a gap in the maintenance and engineering market. This also presented the bonus of creating a new pathway for Indigenous people in the greater Darwin area for those who want to be in a specialised field with an opportunity for long term meaningful employment. And so, CME was born.
Today, Shaun has a number of Certifications from his policing days as well as his trades, training and Project Management which has provide further support to the team and our clients.
While enjoying his family and friends, it is likely you will find him engaging in something outdoors, be it camping or fishing. But never too far from mind Shaun lives by the mantra to lead by example for his children/family and hopefully the future employees who will take on the journey with CME Pty Ltd.
Tim Baldwin
Electrical Specialist
A proud Territorian, Tim has been working in the residential and commercial electrical, sector for more than 40 years. His early years saw him start out as an Electrical Tradesman, and now today provides his knowledge and expertise to various projects, including those in the residential, commercial, industrial, and offshore marine, sectors.
Michael “Mick” Carey
Fabrication Specialist
Starting out as an Apprentice working from the back of his Ute, Darwin native Mick Carey started out fixing cracked tinnies and making quad racks for his mates. Word of his specialist fabrication and exotic metals skills quickly spread, and Mick soon landed a contract to re-fit a fleet of commercial trawling vessels. His reputation for quality and workmanship quickly grew and today his expertise and services and state of the art designs have expanded and are used in defence, marine, and many other industries.
WARRICK BALDWIN
Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Specialist
Warrick has vast experience in the Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry. Warrick has built and continues to run a successful company offering HVAC+R services to the Oil and Gas, Heavy Marine, Defence, Commercial and Industrial sectors in the North of Australia and beyond. Born in Darwin, Warrick is passionate about delivery of high quality work and invests heavily in his workforce and clients to get the best outcomes for all.
BEN PROCTOR
Fabrication Specialist
Ben, a former Deep Sea Diver has owned and operated his fabricating business in Darwin for many years. He believes in working closely with his clients to ensure they are provided the optimum solutions whether it be in building fabrication or specialised and detailed project work. Previous to establishing his Darwin facility Ben was a deep sea diver working as an underwater welder in the Oil and Gas industry and has gained valuable knowledge of that industry sector as well as the Marine industry completing many specialised jobs for clients in this space.
